Photo of Brr!

Beicicled B&M caboose #422 with a snow frosted "back porch" brings up the rear of an eastbound freight rolling through Ayer, MA. Hope it has one of those good old fashioned coal stoves inside that could throw some heat. My friend, who used to be a brakeman, said the newer oil stoves were no match for the cold.

Probably the most beautiful picture of a B&M buggy I’ve ever seen. Was the inside half as pretty??
