Photo of Bangor & Aroostook at Schoodic
Bangor & Aroostook at Schoodic

An interesting line-up of power coasts down the hill at Schoodic. In order we have F-3 #45, BL-2, GP-38, BL-2, GP-38 and another F-3! The older power is in the solid BAR blue paint scheme and the 38's are in the newer black/orange-red/gray scheme. Just to the left of the photographer is where the depot stood. The switch in the foreground still exists, but is only used for getting track equipment into the clear, and the grassy areas are now completely grown up in trees.

Photographed by Phil Gallagher, August, 1976.
Added to the photo archive by Michael White, February 8, 2009.
Railroad: Bangor and Aroostook.
