A gloomy 1940's day...

Looking up from the passenger's seat of a busy commuter, one can see the historical significance of this proud station at the heart of Canaan, CT.

Perhaps the ghost of a Central New England Railroad employee looks out from one of the many windows of this great station....We all know this wasn't really taken in the 1940's, but the view is quite similar to what a commuter would have seen during that time...

This scene was made possible by the hard working folks of the Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts who made this trip happen! This was the first passenger train to traverse this railroad from Pittsfield, MA to Canaan, CT with passengers since the 1980's. Thanks to everyone for making this a great trip that we can all hope for again!
