Domeliner Unloading in Arkville (pic 5) On her own eight wheels!
Delaware & Ulster RR
Arkville, NY - MP 48
July 27, 2005
Arrival and unloading of ex-Acadia "Maroon Bells" "Planetarium" Domeliner
The "Maroon Bells" is ex-Missouri Pacific "Colorado Eagle" / #891, built in 1948 by Budd.
(This pic is fifth of six in series of the unloading)
Here she is finally on her own trucks, unslung from the cranes and free rolling. In a few minutes, she would be shunted on the siding.
After this was completed, the D&U also took delivery of an ex-D&H side dump car.
