Quaboag Transfer was the only company in the US that ran a combination railroad and lumber storage yard. The company specialized in hauling Canadian lumber by rail from Saint Albans, Vermont to its storage yard in Bondsville, Massachusetts, where it was distributed by trucks throughout the East. It went out of business in 2010.
