Originally known as the Blue Mountain and Reading Railroad, the Reading Blue Mountain and Northern Railroad (Reading & Northern) was founded in 1983 to provide freight service on the former Pennsylvania Railroad Schuylkill Division between Hamburg and Temple, PA.
