Ed Palmatier is spiking at tie at MP 3.43. We inserted five ties west of Albany Avenue (MP 3.4), and spiked two. We will spike the remaining three ties next time. If you look closely at the track gauge, you will see the track is narrow by about 1/4 inch. This will spread out a little when the work train comes through. We inserted 13 ties today and spiked 10, and extended the operable section of the line by 1/10th mile to MP 3.43.
