Westbound Conrail Freight at Historic Denholm, PA -1st TrainCR 6198 (C40-8W) and CR 6733 (SD50) lead a westbound mixed freight through Denholm, PA on track 2. Denholm is famous as the former location of the Denholm Coal Wharf, which served 12 or so tracks along the PRR Middle Division main line not terribly far west of Harrisburg/Enola. When the facility was dismantled after the end of steam, it appears the 2 outermost tracks were retained as tracks 1 and 3 and one of the tracks near the middle survived to become track 2. Track 1 is in the foreground here. Those unfamiliar with the facility can find some interesting photos by googling Denholm Coal Wharf. Photos there include a steam locomotive moving hopper cars on top of the coaling facility.
