Photo of Sudbury Diamond
Sudbury Diamond

There aren't many intact, abandoned diamonds around Massachusetts. I can think of one poking through the asphalt on Northern Ave in Boston, right next to the Fort Point Channel, and this one. It's very easy to find and still there, though possibly not forever. The ROWs are not very visible, and all the tracks seem to come out of nowhere in a very interesting way. It's in Sudbury MA, just off Union Ave.

Will no doubt someday be replaced by a bike path... more history demolished...

It's a real shame they don't preserve more when building bike paths. They're finally building one in Stoneham and they're leaving no trace of anything in it's wake.
