Photo of The World's Smallest Railroad Diner
The World's Smallest Railroad Diner

The Black Diamond Diner on Route 89 just north of Trumansburg, New York bills itself as The World's Smallest Railroad Diner. It is made out of an Alco RS1 cab. The Lehigh Valley's famous flagship passenger train, The Black Diamond, passed through this area on its route between New York and Buffalo. It made its last run on May 12, 1959. The LV's tracks have been long since been removed, but some of the old right-of-way is now a bike path.
