Photo of When they was new.....
When they was new.....

F40PH's at motor storage in New Haven, Aug., 1976. Barely 5 months old at the time, they would become the "face" of Amtrak for almost a quarter century. I miss the "screamers" and not afraid to admit it.

Photographed by Carl Weber, Jr., August, 1976.
Added to the photo archive by Carl Weber Jr., September 8, 2010.
Railroad: Amtrak.
