Photo of Return of the SD40
Return of the SD40 Maine anyways. Since Canadian Pacific vanished from Maine, and Guilford sold off their SD40's in the late 1990's, these six-axle EMD's have been scarce in Maine. A power-short Pan Am is now operating these leased units in Districts 1 and 2, a nice change from the Geep's we have become accustomed to. Location is at the former Boston & Maine Wells Beach station at CPF-226.
